The Manfred-Eigen-Gespräche for young scientists are aimed for
intensifying the dialogue between junior researchers and outstanding scientists. Following the scientific CV of Nobel prize laureate Manfred Eigen the workshop focuses on highly topical subjects on the area of physical chemistry and addresses students, PhD students and young post-docs in this or related fields.
The workshop is entitled Molecules, Life and Light and therefore establishes a bridge between the seminal work of Manfred Eigen and up to date research activities. The symposium deals with modern problems within the fields of photocatalysis, photosynthesis, molecular photonics, single molecule physics and the detection of functional molecules in living organisms. Furthermore the junior researches have the possibility to present their own work via posters and to have fruitful discussions with the invited experts.
